An Australian tourist, Zivan
Radmanovic, 32, from Melbourne, was tragically shot and killed at a villa in
Bali, Indonesia, just after midnight on Friday. Another Australian, 34, also
from Melbourne, was injured in the same incident at Villa Casa Santisya near
Munggu Beach in the Badung district.
According to Badung Police chief Arif Batubara, authorities are currently
searching for two Australian gunmen suspected of being responsible for the
fatal shooting. The motive behind the attack is still under investigation.
Police reported that the villa had five guests staying in three occupied
rooms at the time of the shooting. This included Radmanovic, the injured
Australian, and their respective wives, along with another foreign tourist.
Radmanovic was found shot in a bathroom, where investigators discovered 17
bullet casings and two intact bullets. Witnesses at the villa described seeing
at least two gunmen arrive on a scooter around midnight. One assailant was
reportedly wearing an orange jacket and a dark helmet, while the other wore a
dark green jacket, a black mask, and a dark helmet.
Radmanovic's wife, Gourdeas Jazmyn, 30, told police she was awakened by her
husband's screams and cowered under a blanket upon hearing multiple gunshots.
She later found her husband's body and the injured Australian. The wife of the
injured Australian has also provided testimony to authorities regarding the
attackers.
The Australian Consulate in Bali has been contacted by Indonesian
authorities regarding the incident. An autopsy for Radmanovic is pending
permission from his family to aid in the ongoing investigation.
