It adds new details. Instead of only reading “a man survived,” we see his shock, his pain, and his courage. His slow walk through ruins shows us exactly what survival looks like.

A wide aerial shot might show the full scale of the crash, making us feel the disaster’s size but not its human impact.

A rescue-team photo could highlight the bravery of first responders but leave us wondering, “What happened to the people on the plane?”
