Father Detained After Brutal Beating of 10-Year-Old Son Over Misplaced Key.


A 10-year-old boy is currently being treated at Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi following a severe assault by his father in Diabene, a suburb of the Western Region’s Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis  . The unnamed father allegedly whipped his son repeatedly across the back, abdomen, and other parts of his body, inflicting deep bruises and bleeding wounds after accusing the boy of being stubborn when the child misplaced a key  .

Albert Yalley, the Assembly Member for the Diabene Electoral Area, confirmed that upon learning of the boy’s condition, he intervened immediately and ensured the child was rushed to hospital for urgent medical care  . The incident was promptly reported to the Sekondi Police Station, and the suspect is now in custody as investigations proceed.
